Hint 2 of 2
A strip is a long thin rectangle: its length is the full side, its width is a quarter of the side.
Show solution
Approach: find side, then perimeter of one strip rectangle
- Perimeter 32 means each side is 32 ÷ 4 = 8 cm.
- Cut into 4 equal strips, each strip is 8 cm long and 8 ÷ 4 = 2 cm wide.
- Strip perimeter = 2 × (8 + 2) = 20 cm.
