Approach: strip areas follow odd numbers
  1. Cutting the height into 10 equal parts makes strip areas proportional to 1,3,5,...,19 (total 100).
  2. The grey strips are the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th: 1+5+9+13+17 = 45.
  3. So the grey portion is 45/100 = 45%.
